Terms & Conditions

Village Valve Amplification — Last updated: January 2026

Consent / Authorization: By requesting, approving, or paying for service, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1) Who we are

These Terms & Conditions apply to repair, service, modification, and commissioned work performed by Village Valve Amplification Services, LLC (“Village Valve,” “we,” “us”) for the customer (“you”).

2) Scope of work and completion

  • For each job, we’ll align on a written or message-based Work Summary describing what we’re doing (diagnosis, repairs, mods, parts choices, goals, etc.).
  • Tube amps and analog audio gear are complex, and tone/feel/response are subjective. We’ll always aim for excellent results, but tonal outcomes can’t be guaranteed.
  • The Work Summary is the objective basis for determining completion. Changes after approval may affect cost and timeline.

3) Repairs, service, and modifications

Repair and Service Work includes diagnostics, maintenance, corrective repairs, updates, and modifications to existing equipment. Some issues are intermittent or may only show up under certain conditions (heat, vibration, volume, specific tubes, certain speakers, etc.).

4) Commissioned work (custom builds)

  • Commissioned work may involve iterative design decisions, parts ordering, and refinement.
  • Timelines can vary due to parts availability and design revisions.
  • Deposits are applied to parts and initial labor. Because parts may be ordered specifically for your project and labor begins promptly, costs become non-refundable once incurred. If a project is canceled, you are responsible for actual parts purchased and labor performed up to that point.
  • Final payment is due before pickup or delivery.

5) Tubes are consumable (tube life disclaimer)

We cannot guarantee or predict tube lifespan. Tubes can fail unexpectedly even when new. Any tube warranty is limited to the manufacturer’s warranty (if applicable).

6) Warranty on workmanship

  • We warranty workmanship and installed parts for 12 months on Repair and Service Work.
  • Commissioned Work is warranted for workmanship only.
  • No warranty is provided for tonal outcome, creative results, or customer-supplied parts.
  • Warranty is void if equipment is tampered with, misused, modified, or serviced by others after delivery.

7) Limits of service

We only warranty and stand behind the areas we directly repair, modify, or replace. We can’t guarantee the performance of other components or sections not serviced as part of your Work Summary.

8) Payment and pickup

  • Invoices must be paid in full at or before pickup/delivery.
  • Equipment may be retained until payment is received.

9) Storage, abandonment, and unclaimed equipment

  • Equipment unpaid or unclaimed after 90 days may be sold to recover costs.
  • Storage fees may apply after 90 days.

10) Shipping

  • You are responsible for all shipping costs.
  • We are not liable for damage incurred during shipping/transit.

11) Safety and liability

  • Tube amplifiers contain high-voltage components capable of serious injury or death. We strongly advise against opening or attempting to service tube amplifiers without professional-level knowledge.
  • You assume responsibility for safe operation and handling of your equipment.
  • To the extent permitted by law, Village Valve is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from service or equipment use.
  • You agree to indemnify and hold Village Valve harmless from claims arising from the use of serviced equipment.

12) Governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin.
